Our four new nature retreats are situated in the newly converted flint stable block. There are two 1-bedroom cottages (2 person) and two 2-bedroom cottages (up to 4 people) of which one is accessible. Each cottage has been designed so you can make the most of the tranquillity of Woodsell, the restorative power of nature and the dark skies at night. You have full access to the farm during your stay and can explore the Nature Trail as you wish.
They each have a fully equipped kitchen with handmade oak worktops, hotel standard mattresses and natural linen bed covers. With access to superfast Wi-Fi and an internet TV, they make a great base for work and relaxation. They each have their own private patio area with handmade ash furniture which overlooks the landscaped stable yard, planted with wildflowers and wild cherry trees. There are unspoilt views of the Kent Downs in all their glory.
You will also have access to a heated swimming pool in the summer months and are just a short walk from Plough pub in the local village. Unfortunately, we are not currently accepting dogs at the cottages but this may change in coming months.

‘A piece of land in the Kent countryside with a few cottages for people looking to escape the noise and the rush of modern life. It is a thriving landscape ran by nature, left to do what it does best, and it has responded in full bloom: wildflowers, birdsong, butterflies, hares… all the quiet beauty that reminds you the world is still a magical place. Every corner of this retreat is wild, with just the sounds of nature and that rare feeling of being exactly where you’re meant to be. The cottages are a way to reconnect with a slower, more authentic pace of living. It’s a place to breathe, to walk, to dream, and certainly to reflect, write and create. It’s ideal to recharge and find inspiration.‘

‘Absolutely stunning accommodation, in beautiful surroundings. Incredibly peaceful and the opportunity to watch so much wildlife (and have a dip in the pool!). Close enough to go explore Canterbury or Faversham but feels like it’s delightfully far from the hustle and bustle when you’re there. Recommend spending some time in the tree house or walking the paths to see hares, birds of prey and all sorts in between.‘

‘WOW! Really gorgeous cottage accommodation, in a stunning setting. Cosy, and with everything you need. The heated pool was a real treat too. Stunning bluebells throughout the woods during our visit. A very special place to stay.’

‘Woodsell’s nature retreats are a true haven nestled in the astonishing beauty of the Kent downs. After days watching swallows and dragonflies darting around the ponds the team have created across the site, we spent the evenings looking out for barn owls from our cottage’s secluded patio, complete with handmade ash furniture. With a young baby in tow, it was such a treat to enjoy the enormous comfortable bed and the luxurious fully equipped kitchen, not to mention the waterfall shower with its own skylight. Every detail has been carefully considered to create a truly nourishing retreat in the most beautiful surroundings and we can’t wait to come back.‘
